Senior Pastor
John had been a Men’s Ministry leader, Worship leader, and volunteer Chaplain with several Rescue Missions, homeless outreaches, and the LAPD for over 20 years when he joined Abundant Life Church in 2012.
John became Care Pastor providing Pastoral counsel and care to the ALC flock, in 2017. As Care Pastor of Abundant Life Church, it has always been John’s joy to help facilitate relationships in the Body of Christ through the Holy Spirit.
John became Senior Pastor when our beloved founding Pastor, George Taggart, retired.
As Senior Pastor, John continues to be committed to caring for the flock. It is his desire to see ALC continue to be a place where God is glorified, the Name of Jesus is lifted up, and all who worship Him with us feel that they are a beloved part of the Family of God.
John and his wife Donna and the leadership of Abundant Life Church, are committed to providing a place where all are included, the lost can find Jesus, those who know Him can come to know Him better, and those who truly follow Him have a place where they can take up their cross in joyful community with others who feel the same, to bless their neighbors in Simi Valley.

Gino Ferrare
Executive Pastor / Worship Leader
Gino has been active in Church ministry since the early ’90s and has had the privilege of leading worship at several churches in the Simi Valley area. Gino holds deep in his spirit that worship as an integral part of communion with God, through Jesus Christ as facilitated by the Holy Spirit. Gino believes true worship is extremely important to softening the heart before receiving a message from the pulpit. Although worship comes in many forms, worship expressed through music was designed by God as a vehicle to commune with Him in a way that is described as a sweet fragrance to His senses. Gino is privileged to not only lead the Abundant Life congregation in worship but to do so along with many talented and anointed singers and musicians that join with him each week as they lay their musical gifts and voices before the Spirit of the Lord. Most important of all is his desire to lead others into the throne room of God the Father, and then – simply – get out of the way!
