When Jesus gave the great commission to His disciples he said, go and make disciples of all the nations and baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Baptism is the outward sign of the inward work, that we have died in Christ, we are buried with him and rose again to walk in the newness of life.
