Walking in the Power of the Gospel

Today we have arrived at the grand finale of our series “Understanding the Gospel”.

Over the past four weeks we have been on a journey to understand the amazing truth that is the Good News.

We contemplated God’s Character… Holy, righteous and beyond our ability to comprehend in His loyal love for His creation, mankind.

We observed the uncrossable canyon that separates us in our natural, sinful nature from a Holy God who yearns for relationship, not just with His chosen people, who rejected Him, but with all people for all time who would choose Him.

We have seen the incredible love of God that became flesh in the person of His begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who took our worst so that we could be united with Him through His life, death and resurrection.

We saw that our position in Christ because of what Jesus did is righteousness before God.

We have explored the incredible reality of how p righteousness in us causes us to become entirely new creations by the power of the Holy Spirit released in all who put their faith in Christ.

Today we will learn that because that power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us through the Spirit, we are truly “born again” and have the ability to become the people that God originally created us to be.
