How Shall We Respond to the Gospel?

The Gospel is a free gift—purchased by Christ and offered by Grace. But free gifts must still be received.

The Gift of Salvation (The Gospel)

• God is holy, just, and loving.

• Sin is not merely bad behavior but rebellion against God.

• Sin separates us from God and leaves us spiritually dead.

• God built a bridge to us through Jesus Christ—fully God and fully man.

• Jesus lived the life we could not live, died the death we deserved, and rose again to defeat sin and death for us.

Jesus’ Call to Respond

“Repent and believe in the gospel.”— Mark 1:15

Repentance and faith are not ways to earn salvation. They are how we receive what God freely gives.

A drowning person does not earn their rescue by grabbing the rope—but they must grab it to be saved.
